Biography
My name is Matthew Nicholas Savage. I was born in San Francisco, CA to British parents.
I attended UCLA where I received a degree in International Economics. I then went on to live and work in France and England, working for BP in wholesale and retail fuels.
At UCLA I had taken a photography class that inspired me. I decided that I wanted to try it professionally and started and ran my own photography business for 5 years, working for such clients as Sprint Wireless and Pottery Barn. Photography was great, but I wanted more. I had a strong desire to help solve the world’s greatest problems – climate change, clean water, social and economic imbalances.
I attended the prestigious Royal College of Art – a fantastic place where I started to see creativity as THE most important skill to cultivate. I met some amazing people.
My current career is as a sustainability consultant, a career where my values, creativity, and analytical mind can all coalesce.
This website is an effort to give you a sense of my personal and exciting journey.
